Depression is a mood disorder that affects more than 18 million Americans. It is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Depression affects how you feel, think, and behave. Negative thinking is behind most depression. We are constantly being told, the situation is hopeless, I’ll never be able to change, I’m unloved, and this is the way it will always be. However, depression is treatable. Some causes of depression are, chronic medical condition, unresolved anger, unrepentant sin and disobedience, genetics and negative thinking patterns. Some symptoms of depression are, weight changes, changes in appetite, agitation, feeling worthless, suicidal thoughts and or plans, and sleep changes.
